Portland is a surprisingly fun city. I had heard many great stories about PDX before actually visiting, but was still impressed by what the town had to offer. Downtown Portland has a great selection of restaurants and bars, with some of the finest microbrews I have ever had. The city is easy to get around and not too crowded, with a ton of diversity and a generally friendly disposition within its residents.
I agree. Portland is a fun city. My husband job relocated us there from Alaska. I have lived all my life in Alaska and all of a sudden I was uprooted, seperated from my family and friends. I thought I would not like it, but it’s climate is similar to Alaska and the people are AWESOME! There is so much to do and so many places to explore! I have only found one downside with Portland - the narrowness of the streets downtown and limited parking. I understand why so many people bike here.
