I hear a lot about Peet’s coffee, mostly from my Canadian friends. They all seem to think it’s great and disparage all American coffee as being something less than “Peet’s”. When I finally had a chance to try Peet’s coffee it was frankly just normal coffee. It wasn’t anything better or worse than what you might get at McDonald’s, Starbucks, or Dunkin Donuts.

My husband works for a company that does some printing for Peet’s coffee and we had never tasted it until it recently showed up in grocery stores in our area. We live in Starbucks country and we wanted to try Peet’s and compare the two. I feel that they are on the same level with Peet’s being a bit smoother but my husband feels that Peet’s is by far the best of the two brands and would choose it over any of the other brands offered.

Although I am not a huge fan of Peets Coffee I do enjoy a cup from time to time. The shop is always clean and the service always friendly. I’m not sure that I would recommend Peets but I would say you should try them at lease once and see for yourself. I don’t believe that Peets is for everyone because of the fact they do French press.
