My sister in law has a pet ferret and it totally creeps me out. First off, it smells, even if she bathes it regularly. It has the mentality of a cat (independent and cannot be trained) and is smaller and more mischievous so it can get into more stuff. It makes a hobby of finding, stealing, and hiding things it likes. I think ferrets are much better left wild animals than made into pets.

My granfather had ferrets, and they were the cutest and loveable things ever. They would run and scamper around the room. When I get a larger place, I want pet ferrets. I saw a documentary on PBS about them, and they seem like very lovable and playful creatures. Gosh, they even have ferret shows that are similar to the dog shows that we see on television.
