I watched Doubt on DVD last night and I was blown away by the performances of the actors. Streep and Hoffman in particular are excellent in this film, and their confrontation near the end of the film rivals anything I saw on film last year. The movie is based on a play of the same name, and at times it feels like it has been adapted from a screenplay. This isn’t a bad thing, by any means, in fact I think that it does a good job of bringing the viewer into the story.

All in all a fantastic movie, highly recommended. A.
