Blogging can be great, if you have something to say that might interest other people that is. Anything can be a blogging topic, if you’re actually speaking about a topic, because somebody else in the universe is bound to be interested in it. Blogging about your daily life though is seriously lame. Who cares what you ate for breakfast or if you were constipated. Stick to a topic and your blog is bound to be more sucessful.

I’m ten million kinds of positive about blogging, for several reasons:
a) it’s revolutionizing news coverage all over the globe, taking the power out of the hands of the mainstream media and holding large news organizations accountable for their coverage;
b) it’s a wonderful social tool and a good way to get to build community in a virtual context;
and c) it’s a great way to keep your hand in with writing if you don’t have another project currently underway.
In addition, all the best things I read these days are on my friends’ blogs. So as a reader/web surfer/consumer of entertainment, I prefer blogs to just about any other media. In other words: yay blogging! Go blogging go!!
